D3 - its here

i preorderd last week - im going to hit D3 hard for now and see if it works out to be as addictive as D2 was for me

ive actually been not gaming much recently, been busy with real life and ive been sick - i havent done much in rift recently, ive been poking around in skyrim, but thats about it

im hoping we can all settle in TSW for at least a few months, from what ive read online, and from you alls postings, it sounds like it shaping up to be a solid game

I'm calling "meh" on D3.
Just couldn't get into the franchise as a whole so won't be trying it.
Strange because I like the genre as a whole, but the something about it has never grabbed me.

My wife loves Diablo II and played many hours of it. She is looking forward to D3. I may try it but am with Ash in that it never really grabbed me.

I bought a digital version so no guest passes from me

i rolled a male barbarian (paingiver) this morning - watched the intro cinematics and bashed a couple of zombies before i had to go to work.

You can do it by battletag too. When you hit the friends button in game it will tell you what your battletag is. Mine is Dizzarian#2451

- i beat the skeleton king last night - first impressions are very positive from me, thus far - the color scheme is very moody/dreary, without being BLACK/GRAY/RED - i give an initial thumbs up to the art direction (it is a little torchlight-esqu, but that not suprising considering the overlap in dev teams)

- the combat has been pretty smooth thus far - the battle with the skeleton king was alot of fun (as a barb)

- skill selection does seem a bit linear - but every skill seems like it has a place - D2 you could easily gimp your char with poor skill point/ability point distributions, it looks like that have taken that aspect away, for better or worse

- the armor crafter seems like a cool add on - looking forward to see how that progresses

- i have not messed with the auction house yet, or public games


im looking forward to playing more tonight - it gets the paingiver thumbs up for the first hour or two of gameplay - ill also post out my gamertag
