This one is about 50km/hr on a flat piece of land.
I put two fuel cells in it so it drives forever. :)

Weight comes into play.  On my original design I had a thick iron chassis, particularly the bottom base.

With that one I had a top speed of 24km/hr, but it had nearly triple the durability.

I had to redesign and hollow out a lot of the metal framework to get it to run a little better.  I can outrun most creatures i've met so far.  But just barely.

A bit of a balancing act.
