As you know i am a huge fan of 4x space games and have played most if not all extensivley..

That being said i will tell you that Distant Worlds with both exp installed is hands down the Best 4x game made to date... Amazing game in so many ways .. It would take me hours to write ....

So if you are a fan of this genre it is a Must buy ... but you must buy the Exp .. at least the 1st with it...
