Preparation is the key for successful raiding and here are some basics for all to begin with :
Step 1: Get a decent gear yourself
If you dont know what tier 3 means and how to get it, check this gear guide for dummies here > http://www.wow-loot.com/. (just click on your class icon on the upper section of the site)
Step 2: Empower your gear
This means sockets - enchants - power ups through faction rep for helm/shoulders or craft for pants.
We dont expect you to spent 60-100g for a blue gem to socket in your blue gear but geting your sockets full with the best for your class green gems is expected for sure.
We got many enchanters in eternal darkness like Phyloque, Kruchemundo, Nighty and me.
Our enchants list has a large variety from 150hp on chest to 40 spellpower on weapon or crusader. I can also enchant myself 12stam on bracers, healing on weapon-bracers-gloves, 6 stats on chest and many more.
Step 3: Bring potions with you
We can not excell in 10/25 men instances without any pre raid preparation and many bosses require extra caution like curator needs major arcane rez potions that u need to have with you.
You may ask in guild Alchemists for more info and also check out this uber link > http://www.ampwow.com/wow/viewRaidPrep# for everything you need to know of.(check potions, consumables & others section on same page)
Step 4: Read tactics
In order to drop Bosses we need to learn some things about them in the first place... did you know that everytime a boss shouts something it is a special skill warning?
Study and study and study, then do not hesitate to ask raid leaders for any question you got about a fight before the raid.
Conclusion
Raid preparation in every aspect of what i described above will be evaluated individually - if you are found unprepared ( green items - no sockets full - no enchants ready - or not familiar with the upcoming encounter, you will be disqualified from raid regardless your skill or experience and you will be asked to improve yourself before you seek for another raid invite.
If majority of raid members dont meet the requirements above, raid will be canceled due to overall unpreparedness.

I fully agree with Demonicca and i would also like to add that this is the ONLY way for ANY guild to progress through high end instances.
Make sure u DO read this thread because it is vital for ur progress and our survivability in these instances. After all, spending money for being better geared can save ur pocket from spending enormous ammounts of gold for repair, new potions etc. :x
So, i suggest u start now....Only 2-3 hours left for invites and we will evaluate everyone
Happy raiding all
