Been fooling with Vanguard lately , and this is another great game that has gone F2P , you forget just how amazing these classes were and how immersive there enviroment is .. game is running great ....

I would love to sail my ship on Vangard seas again. Last time I tried to download and install Vangard it never went anywhere. Maybe it is time to try again.

Yea fun stuff, just completed" No Rest for the Weary "(Hunters League) .. Just really great combat and quest line quite challenging and the rewards rock..

Disiples are such a unique class... really fun

Logged in long enough to get my boat out and see what class I was. Level 35 Shaman. With lots to learn. May keep VG on the back burner for now and concentrate on POE and AC2.

Just a great time in Vanguard tonite .. Was skeptical going back and worried about population ... Well its very strong .. finished Skawlra tonite .. and that was never easy ans there 2 other groups besides mine runnin it ..

Amazing how unique and strong these classes are to work together ... Good times

From what I have read they actually have a team working on VG. It has not gone F2P and been left to rot. Pretty cool to know they seem to want It to get bigger and better.

SO as you know i have been back in Vanguard for a couple weeks , and having a great time in Telon , A note of interest , i have landed in a guild (20 active last nite) that has dedicated itself to new/returning low to mid level players , and altho the core of this guild all has 50s they are helping everyone experience the great group content this game offers..

So if anyone wants to return to Telon with the oppurtunity to grow with a guild thru the Telons rich lore and immersive enviroments , now is your chance..

Send a tell to Ricochet , Roaren or Stichs in game and ill get one of there officers to send an invite..

Logged into VG this morning and went to the bank. I hoard so my banks are typically full. And surprise since I am not paying I only get access to 25 of the many many bank slots I have. Thus the majority of things in my bank are unavailable. Basically like EQ2 it makes the game unplayable for me unless I subscribe. So I will sail my Galleon in VG but that is pretty much where my playtime will end. Oh well.

F2P as in all these games are just trials , they arent going to give the game away like many would like them to, they are in the business to make money...

The problem is not about spending money but I've always felt soe's f2p is f'd up on these older games as you should be able to buy the game piece meal and not just cripple the game. Like you should be able to buy your bank slots and such and decide what items you want to skimp on.

VG's a great game and I'll probably play but this will kind of take it out of the running for a guild night.

SOE needs to rename its F2P as they are not. They are as Rico points out simple trials. If they were F2P a former player could come back and play the game as is F2P. They actually restrict me BECAUSE I am a former player and have things a trial person would not. So I either pay again or do nothing. Really does not give me any incentive to come back at all. Would have love to dabble a bit in VG from time to time but that won't happen as it is.

Honestly , what does anyone expect for free , the game is well wroth a monthly sub and imo , the fact they let people logged into there service at all for Free is quite a privilege altogether ...

its .50 cents a day .. lmao .. i mean honestly moost people lose that in the cushions of there couch and in the laundry 3 times a week ..

And they actually have a pretty fair cash shop for what its worth..
