re: AC2 made me what I am today!

Sitting at the side of the river fishing in Rift I realized I am very good and doing a repetitive boring task. Fishing when you think about it is not all that exciting. Cast and click, cast and click. Over and over. This got me thinking about how I play MMO's and that got me realizing AC2 is where I was trained in doing repetitive things. Way back after everyone left and it was just me in AC2 I ran around this hill/mound that was covered in Olthoi. As a Berzerker I had lots of skills that were AoE that did mass damage to multiple mobs. So I ran around that mound killing 5-6 Olthoi at a time. When I had circled back to the start the mobs had respawned so I just kept going and going. 5 plus levels were gained at that spot. A circle I likely did hundreds of times. Boring for sure after a couple of levels since the mobs died so fast there was no chance of death, just good XP. Fast forward to today and Rift. I run around fishing and gathering killing mobs as I go. No chance of death. A boring repetitive circle that I do over and over and over.
I thought it was kind of funny to think of how AC2 tied into how I have played MMO's ever since.
